The azimuth thruster is ingeniously engineered to deliver thrust for propulsion in a full 360° direction, enhancing maneuverability for navigation and position keeping. The propeller can be powered by an electric motor, hydraulic motor, or diesel engine. Our azimuth thruster with counter-rotating propellers is ideal for high-speed vessels, shallow draught conditions, or applications where a smaller propeller diameter is beneficial. When utilized as the main propulsion system, it not only provides forward speed but significantly enhances the vessel's maneuverability.

About us
Dutch Thrustleader Marine Propulsion (Jiangsu) Co. Ltd. was established in 2017 as a premier production base. Our company integrates R&D, engineering, and manufacturing, leveraging advanced Chinese manufacturing capabilities.
Our company's production area spans around 10,000 square meters and features a specialized assembly and testing workshop. We are certified with GB/T19001-2016/ISO 9001:2015 CCS quality system certification and hold a BV-Factory Accreditation certificate. Our R&D center is bolstered by two postdoctoral professor advisors and a team of experienced European and Chinese senior engineers.
We design and manufacture Tunnel thrusters, Azimuth thrusters, Deck-mounted azimuth thrusters, and Retractable azimuth thrusters, along with advanced thruster control systems. Our range of thruster products spans powers from 30kW to 6000kW. We can integrate and deliver thruster systems with dynamic positioning systems.
For the renewable market, we provide battery-powered propulsion systems, hybrid electric propulsion systems, unmanned vessel control systems, and pod thrusters upon special request.
All propulsion projects can be delivered under the approval of major classification societies such as CCS, RMRS, ABS, BV, RINA, NK, DNV-GL, LR, CRS.
